Community Assistance Trust
(CAT) can provide assistance ONLY in emergencies or extraordinary circumstances, and will refer client requests to other agencies wherever appropriate.

Community Christmas for Children
A coalition of agencies organize a Calendar of Events of no cost activities for children through the Christmas break each year. The goal of the Community Christmas for children is to brighten and enrich the christmas holidays for the children.

Community Volunteer Income Tax Program
FREE income tax returns prepared for Low Income Earners, Seniors, disabled, New Canadians.

Leadership Development Services
The Leadership Development Services (LDS) provides information and tools to assist community leaders to run well managed, effective volunteer organizations in time of ongoing change.

Social Development Council (SDC)
The Social Development Council is attached to Volunteer Sault Ste. Marie through the amalgamation with the original Public Assistance Coordinating Committe.

VVolunteer Appreciation Dinner and Awards
volunteer Apprecation Dinner planning committee organizes an annual dinner for all volunteers in Sault Ste. Marie and District. The program for the evening highlight:
            - Mayor's Awards
            - Volunteer of the Year Award
            - Larry Knapp Award
            - Izetta Hobs Youth Award

Volunteer Recruitment/Referral
Volunteer Sault Ste. Marie office offers a service to agencies and organizations to recruit volunteers with the support of our local media promoting the requests of the agencies. Volunteer Referral Counselors interview potential volunteers and refer the individual to thier particular preferencs.

Volunteer Resource Group
Volunteer Sault Ste. Marie provides professional development for staff and volunteers who are involved in our community through our monthly Volunteer Resource Group meetings.

Volunteer Fall Fair
Volunteer Fair planning committee coordinates an FAIR each year giving agencies and organizations an opportunity to showcase their programs and services, and to share resource information with people from other organizations and meet the public.

Volunteer Algoma Project is an interactive web site which features Volunteer Opportunities and Community Information Directory.
